This painting symbolizes the 32-year marriage of my husband and me. When we got married we much admired the sayings of Kahil Gibran, especially his thoughts about marriage as -- two trees, each with their trunks separate and their own root systems, but their branches intertwine.

In this painting I have tried to capture the essence of Gibran's thoughts with three rings, one mine, one my husband's and the third with the bright glowing diamond, our married life together.
