Having several dozen private piano students, I have no shortage of "subjects" which to paint. One afternoon, a student was playing and I had the urge to capture this image. It would have been awkward and overly time consuming to set up for an oil painting but perfect for a watercolor. So quickly I got my paint set and took a piece of watercolor paper and proceeded to paint my student while she serenaded me with her assigned music.
