Traditionally, the men who sing bass in a choir are responsible for keeping the choir grounded and in tune. These pretty dried flowers are what is left of my sturdy Sedum plants, which have a year-round responsibility to keep my garden in tune. All winter, they proudly solo in the snow. In the fall they are brilliantly pink, in summer they overflow with green succulent foliage, and in the spring they poke their heads out of the ground with the sweetest little rose-shaped greenery. Year-round, they maintain their place by my little bridge, grounded in and very responsible.
