This painting is so tiny that I had to nestle it in my palm while I painted. In spite of all that, this painting is still bigger than the inside of the tulip that was my model. I love the way the light shines through the petals and how the black stamen stand so proudly. I love the rainbow of orange colors and the design of my tulip--up close and personal.
