This is my second oil painting. I set up my easel by a lily pond near John's House (see OP4), slightly nervous about painting by myself and wondering if the canvas would blow off the old easel I bought at a garage sale.

But as soon as I laid in the undercolors, I began to "see" my painting even before it was done. I was no longer wondering if I could paint or not. The process of putting color onto the canvas was so satisfying that I no longer worried about anything.
