"Bananas", a tiny oil painting, was created when I visited a friend who wanted us to be creative together... but not really together. See, she was in another room working on her latest book, while I sat in her pretty kitchen, painting the fruit on her table. Now, every time I look at this painting, I think of the joy that friendship can bring even in a somewhat vicarious manner such as my friend and I shared that day.
