When I visited Santorini, a sparkling jewel in the Grecian islands, I planned to paint a ton of white churches with blue ball roofs. As my camera and I ventured along stone paths that often disappeared down sudden white steps or corners in the sky, I saw the tons of white and blue churches. I saw the bluest sky touch the sapphire waters. I saw children playing Monopoly on a cement roof and windmills on drop-offs.

Then I spied a big black doggie, wagging its tail, pointing me to this one-of-a-kind pink and blue church. Now, that was a splendid sight for both my camera and my paintbrush!
