"Rooftop Garden, Santorini"
Carved into this Grecian mountain are cozy white homes, looking not the least precarious, until you try to go visiting the neighbors just below. Piled atop each other and anchored to the mountain itself, each home is uniquely designed and very expensive to rent for the night.
My husband and I rested in these two chairs and watched the ships dotting the harbor. We breathed in the salt air and flower scents that wafted from above and below, and we smiled at the little Grecian urn in the corner of this spectacular sun deck.
At sunset we returned to our cruise boat and sailed away. I had not worn my sunglasses all day, but I needed them now to see the most pure white of Santorini's sun-drenched half-mile high sheer cliffs of white houses and churches.
