"Dogwood"

We toured China in the spring while Dogwoods were blooming and especially lovely in Hangzhou. As I watched hundreds of local residents do their morning Tai Chi exercises beside the local lake, I tried to sketch them and also the dogwoods that lined the shore. I knew as soon as I started to sketch a dogwood twig that it would become a brush painting.
