Sitting on the porch in front of the Blue Room, I peered to the left and saw how truly pretty this small corner of our house was. Framed by the protective wing wall and centered by the arched alcove, a unique arrangement of shrubs and flowers suddenly became a world unto itself.

If you were to look from the front yard, this sheltered area is hidden by a gigantic tulip tree. But here on the Blue Room porch, it has become a romantic little corner, begging to be painted.
