My teen students wanted to paint animals, so I demonstrated with portraits of a horse and an old tiger, which amazingly sold immediately. I was lonesome for those oil paintings and spent some time making a peacock, a Welsh Corgi dog, and this toy dog. Each of these animals (and bird) is facing the viewer, to remind us that we are important to them.
