"Bird in Stop-Action Flight"

One wintry day in 1994. I thought about my favorite time of the year--Spring--when all the birds return and many visit our home. I remember standing in front of this large canvas and over several hours filling it with blues and golds. The idea of painting a beautiful bird taking flight lifted my spirits.
